I'd like to split the tax deductions with my prospective co-parent.  I understand that I can take the deduction for our child even if the child isn't living with me, and she can take the "Head of Household" deduction.  Does anyone see any problems with doing this from an audit perspective?

I was watching CNN and they were saying that you can still take the same tax deductions for kids as last year. So you should be fine!

Yes, you can split the tax deductions - there are some deductions that only the "residential" parent can take but there are other deductions that the non-residential parent can claim as well.
